Virtual Reality English Learning and Cultural Exchange

It's not always easy to visit another country to immerse yourself in the culture, nor is it always possible to meet with people from other cultures.

However thanks to the power of rumii, a VR collaboration tool, you can join people in virtual spaces in real time, irrespective of physical location.

This is just what I did with Kojiro Yano, who is based at the Osaka Institute of Technology in Japan and he uses VR to help students build their cultural awareness and knowledge of science. We jumped on a 3D model of a London Underground train to learn English in virtual reality and share cultural experiences, by understanding about our different countries' transport systems.

Check out his academic profile here and his Twitter account here. Thanks Kojiro!
